Bodice Dagger/Scissors
Bodice Dagger/ScissorsThis is a superb example of M'Lady's dagger that doubles as a pair of scissors! During the Renaissance, many women carried daggers of varying sizes for protection and for other, more utilitarian uses. Because they were sometimes worn in the "cleavage" they were often called "bodice" daggers. Ours is copied from similar examples found all through Europe, dating in the middle of the 16th Century.

Brass-hilted Poignard
Brass-hilted PoignardWhen wearing a sword was inappropriate, a long dagger - or poignard - was a favored companion. Of course, it was also carried en-suite with a sword or rapier as a backup weapon. Lightweight, deadly, and most of all elegant, this is a delightful addition to a late middle ages or Renaissance outfit. Leather, brass trimmed scabbard included. Overall-18 inches * Blade-12 inches long * Wt.-14 oz.

Main Gauche

The dagger has a ring to protect the hand. Scabbard included. Overall- 18 1/4", Blade- 12 1/4" long and 1 1/8" wide, Wt.- 1 lb.
